The Student Leadership Team fulfil a central role in the continual development of MCS, as well as acting as representatives of the wide range of views from our student body. The application process is open to all Year 12 students as they near the end of their first year of Sixth Form. The selection panel comprises the existing Student Leadership Team, the Headteacher and the Director of Sixth Form.

The Student Leadership Team meet regularly with the Headteacher and other senior leaders of the school to discuss school improvement, student priorities and the projects that the Student Leadership Team lead on. These projects include the fantastically popular Monmouth’s Got Talent, a talent competition run across all of Monmouth’s secondary schools as well as other school and community projects decided upon by the students. The Student Leadership Team also chair the School Council, a democratically elected student body drawn from every year group.
